Our atmosphere is like an ocean of air, and we live at the bottom of that ocean. The atmosphere extends hundreds of miles above the earth’s surface and is made up of atoms and molecules that are constantly moving. When they bump into something, they exert a force on that object. This is what we call air pressure.
